Haile G. Uriarte was born in Havana, Cuba. He started his music career at the age of 10 years old in the conservatory in Havana.
Later he attended and received his B.A. degree Título de Instrumentista-Profesor de Trompeta y Práctica de Conjunto (Instrumentalist-Professor of Trumpet and Orchestra Assemble) from ENA (Escuela Nacional de Artes), in Havana, Cuba in 1996.
He relocated to the USA in 2001 and since then he has been working as a Band Director and a Lead Trumpet. From 2015 to 2017 he attended the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, completing his M.M. in Latin Music Performance. During his university studies he was an Ensemble’s Teacher Assistant, and Lead Trumpet in the “Texas State Jazz Ensemble”, and “Salsa del Río Orchestra”.
During the course of his career, Haile has had the opportunity to be associated with multiple orchestras in various permanent and free lance roles. He has also worked as a touring musician , performing alongside nationally and regionally known musicians and vocalists from all over the world. His most recent tour was as a lead Trumpet for four consecutive years with the Afro Cuban All Stars.
He currently lives in San Antonio, TX and Directs the "Haile Uriarte Y Su Tumbao Orquesta" and "Haile G and Havana Soul" .
